Rookie of the Year Honor!

Against great odds, RG3 has been named Rookie of the year by Pro Football Weekly along with Pro Football Weekly.

RG3is the first member of the Redskins to be named Pro Football Weekly/PFWA Offensive Rookie of the Year since Mike Thomas received the honor in 1975. Pro Football Weekly's annual awards are all selected by PFW editors and contributors along with members of the Professional Football Writers of America.

In his rookie season RG3 had TWENTY TOUCHDOWNS and passed for 3,200 yards.

The rookie threw just 5 interceptions.  His passer rating is 102.4.  His total rushing yards are 815.

RG3 is recovery from knee surgery, necessary to repair a torn ACL and MCL.

Fans saw their star QB go down in the 4th quarter against the Seattle Seahawks in Game 1 of the 2012 playoffs.  He is expected to make a full recovery and be ready for the 2013 season.

Let The Facts Speak.

For all those who don't think RG3 is worthy of this year's Rookie of the Year honor, keep reading. That is all.

No 'Average' Leader

Possible Rookie of the Year. Pro-Bowler. Hall of Famer.

These are just a few of the accolades given to one Robert Griffin, III, and it's only his rookie season.

He's a stellar person, and he's no average football player.  He makes Redskin history every time he steps on the field to play in the NFL.

He's made Washington football relevant again.  The Redskins are talked about on sports shows more this year than at any other time, and RG3's stats are off the chart.

Take a look at this one, in particular.

RG3 Taking Redskins To the Promised Land?

Pay When We're In.
The Redskins are already preparing for the Playoffs, and are offering season ticket holders first dibs on the tics, should the Redskins make it in.

The two ways for season ticket holders to reserve seats are: Pay-When-We-Are-In (credit card only) or Pay In Full (check or money order).

Pay-When-We-Are-In (credit card only)
Season ticket holders that choose the Pay-When-We-Are-In (credit card only) option can reserve their seats by logging into www.Redskins.com/MyAccount (using their Redskins Account ID and PIN/password) and following the prompts.

When signing up for the Pay-When-We-Are-In plan, the credit card submitted will be automatically charged within 48 hours of when it is determined that the Redskins will host a home playoff game at FedExField. All reservations are final; no refunds or exchanges. However, if the Redskins do not host a playoff game, credit cards will not be charged.

Pay In Full (check or money order)
Season ticket holders that select the Pay In Full (check or money order) plan can send the full payment for their invoice by check or money order. For those fans that select this option, they must pay the full invoice amount by the Dec. 27 deadline.

To Pay In Full, fans must return the lower portion of their invoice with a check or money order made payable to the Washington Redskins. Please allow three-to-four days for delivery via mail. No refunds or exchanges. However, if the Redskins do not host a playoff game, season ticket holders who select this option will receive a credit toward the 2013 season ticket invoice.

RG3 vs Eli Manning!

The Redskins and RG3 took care of the Dallas Cowboys and Tony Romo on Thanksgiving night with a 38-31 win.

Tonight, RG3 & Company will rubble with Eli Manning and the New York Giants in their second conference game of the season.

Says RG3, "I just know they'll come with something different. No team will necessarily play you the same way they played you the first time."

Let's hope the Redskins have a different game plan as well.

This will be the two team's second meeting; the first a victory for Victor Cruz who 'cruzed' into the end zone for a New York touchdown that sealed a win. Tonight, the Skins are out for revenge in a Monday Night Football prime time exclusive!

Kickoff begins at 8:30.   Going to the stadium?  #GetThereEarly!

RG3 Taken Out of Game With A Concussion

Tough day for RG3 and the Washington Redskins.

After immobilizing the undefeated Atlanta Falcons in the first quarter, and much of the first half, the tide takes an ugly turn in the second.

RG3 gets stitches on the sideline.
RG3 was hit by Falcons' Sean Weatherspoon leaving the rookie QB dazed and confused, with a concussion.

“He wasn’t sure what quarter it was in the third quarter", said Redskins coach Mike Shanahan. "At that time, when he wasn’t really sure what the score was or what quarter it was, we knew he had a mild concussion – at least according to the doctors. He feels good right now – a lot better right now. But that was the situation, why he didn’t go back into the game.”

Scary play for the fans.  Brutal reality tweets on Twitter, from non fans, many 'welcoming' RG3 to the NFL.
