RG3 vs Eli Manning!
The Redskins and RG3 took care of the Dallas Cowboys and Tony Romo on Thanksgiving night with a 38-31 win.
Tonight, RG3 & Company will rubble with Eli Manning and the New York Giants in their second conference game of the season.
Says RG3, "I just know they'll come with something different. No team will necessarily play you the same way they played you the first time."
Let's hope the Redskins have a different game plan as well.
This will be the two team's second meeting; the first a victory for Victor Cruz who 'cruzed' into the end zone for a New York touchdown that sealed a win. Tonight, the Skins are out for revenge in a Monday Night Football prime time exclusive!
Kickoff begins at 8:30. Going to the stadium? #GetThereEarly!

RG3 Taken Out of Game With A Concussion
Tough day for RG3 and the Washington Redskins.
After immobilizing the undefeated Atlanta Falcons in the first quarter, and much of the first half, the tide takes an ugly turn in the second.
RG3 was hit by Falcons' Sean Weatherspoon leaving the rookie QB dazed and confused, with a concussion.
RG3 made a tweet of his own, letting fans know that he is alright and will be ready to play next week.
"I'm ok and I think after all the testing I will play next week."
Top Performers on the day:
Passing: M. Ryan (ATL) - 345 YDS, 2 TD, 1 INT
Rushing: A. Morris (WSH) - 19 CAR, 115 YDS
Receiving: T. Gonzalez (ATL) - 13 REC, 123 YDS, 1 TD

“He wasn’t sure what quarter it was in the third quarter", said Redskins coach Mike Shanahan. "At
that time, when he wasn’t really sure what the score was or what quarter it
was, we knew he had a mild concussion – at least according to the doctors. He
feels good right now – a lot better right now. But that was the situation, why
he didn’t go back into the game.”
Scary play for the fans. Brutal reality tweets on Twitter, from non fans, many 'welcoming' RG3 to the NFL.

RG3 Gets Accolades From Madden
More accolades are pouring in after RG3's performance last Sunday over the New Orleans Saints where the Redskins defeated the former Super Bowl Champions, 40-32.
Not only has RG3 gained new Twitter followers, he's even gotten the elite of NFL commentators singing praises. (Even the retired ones).
"This is probably early, too stupid, too soon, but I was watching him and I said, "RGIII is the best player in the NFL."
That comes from former NFL player and ESPN commentator John Madden, who was speaking on a weekly radio show in the Bay area.
Unfortunately, he liken Griffin to Tim Tebow. Tim Tebow?
Really?
We tweeted RG3 to get his opinion on Madden's comment. Stay tuned. In the mean time, check out this Twitter quote...
Shoq Value @Shoq
is just like#TimTebow, except for the fact that he's not annoying and is a brilliant football player.

...Like why is Griffin's salary only a little over $300,000/year; and why was the Heisman award winner chosen #2 instead of #1 in the 2012 NFL Draft?

| RG3 likened to Tim Tebow, per John Madden. |
"You know, the thing that he did that was so amazing was he reminded me -- and I don't mean to throw names around -- but he reminded me of a Tim Tebow that can pass," Madden said, obviously. "You know, Tim Tebow, when he was playing for Denver last year, he would tend to freeze the defenses, because they weren't sure if it was run or pass, if he was gonna hand off or run. I mean, he couldn't pass like RGIII -- [Griffin] can throw the ball -- but he has a tendency to freeze the defense.
"If he fakes inside, you don't want to collapse, because he may keep it and run outside," Madden continued. "And when he runs outside, he may run or he may throw it. And then throughout all that stuff, he didn't have any turnovers. He played a clean game."What a double edged statement. Madden said Griffin was the best player in the NFL, yet he likened him to Tim Tebow in passing.

RG3 Sets Records In NFL Season Opening Debut
Look at what the stats show. (Watch the video).
RG3...
- ... completed 19-of-26 passes for 320 yards and two touchdowns. He finished with a passer rating of 139.9.
- ... became the first player in NFL history to compile 300-plus passing yards, two or more passing touchdowns and no interceptions in an NFL debut.
- ...'s passer rating was the highest by a rookie with no professional football experience, besting Matt Ryan’s 138.4 passer rating at Oakland in Week 9 of the 2008 season (minimum 200 attempts). Only Dieter Brock, who played in the Canadian Football League prior to playing in the NFL, had single-game passer ratings higher than Griffin III’s, including a 144.8 passer rating vs. Atlanta in 1985 at 34 years of age.
- ... was the first rookie to start at quarterback for the Redskins in Week 1 since Norm Snead started at San Francisco on Sept. 17, 1961. The only other rookie quarterback to start for Washington in Week 1 since 1950 was Jack Scarbath against the Chicago Cardinals on Sept. 27, 1953.
- ... is now the youngest quarterback to start a game for the Redskins since the 1970 NFL-AFL merger (22-years, 210-days old). The previous youngest Redskins starting quarterback in that era was Heath Shuler, who started at 22-years, 275-days old vs. Dallas on Oct. 2, 1994.
Watch the video.
Still with all the accolades that came with Game 1 of the regular season, it's only one game.
Coach Mike Shanahan sums it up beautifully.
“ Like I said to the team after the game, it’s one game. We played well. We beat a good football team in their backyard and you’ve got to feel good about yourself, enjoy it about 24 hours, and it’s one game. We’ve got 15 left. You’ve got to take it one game at a time. I think our football team is mature enough that it’s a nice win, but it’s one win. What you do over the course of the season dictates what type of team you are. You have got to feel good about what you did, but when they come back here on Wednesday, it’s over and we get started.”
The Redskins face the St. Louis Rams on Sun, 09/16 at 4:05 PM EDT.

Today Is The Day! Season Opener Against New Orleans Saints!
Preseason football is over, and the real deal is here!
After summing up their preseason activities - winning three of their four contests - their best score, 30-3 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Redskins are anxious to see what their No. 2 Draft pick can do in a professiona, regular season setting at the QB position.
The team has three quarterbacks: Cousins. Grossman. Griffin.
All three showed promise in preseason. All three got their chance to shine. But only one is the starter. Only one has all of the NFL watching.
And so are we.
Redskins vs New Orleans Saints.
Game time: 1pm. Fox Network, and on ESPN 980. Be there!
